Take Your Game to the USA

The Junior Advanced Training Squad (JATS) USA Tour 2028 will be an incredible opportunity for our players to take their basketball to the international stage.

In 2028, Smithfield Basketball League will take a selected group of JATS players to the United States of America for a basketball tour featuring training, competition and experiences designed to challenge and inspire our players.

Compete in the Home of Basketball

The USA is home to some of the world's most passionate basketball communities and some of the highest levels of the sport.

Our tour will give players the opportunity to experience basketball in a completely different environment and compete against teams from across the USA.

Players will experience different styles of play, new opponents and a level of competition that will challenge them to adapt, learn and improve.

More Than Just a Tour

The JATS USA Tour is designed to be much more than a series of basketball games.

It will combine:

Competition
Take on teams from across the USA and test your skills against new opponents.

Development
Experience different coaching approaches, playing styles and basketball environments.

Teamwork
Build stronger relationships with your teammates through the shared experience of travelling and competing together.

Culture
Experience American basketball culture and visit some of the places that have helped shape the game.

Opportunity

Challenge yourself, step outside your comfort zone and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Represent Smithfield Basketball League

Being selected for the JATS USA Tour will be an achievement and an opportunity to represent Smithfield Basketball League on an international stage.

We want our touring teams to represent the club with pride — demonstrating commitment, sportsmanship, teamwork and respect wherever we play.

The JATS Experience

The Junior Advanced Training Squad (JATS) is designed for players who are committed to improving their basketball and taking their development seriously.

The USA Tour provides an exciting long-term goal for our JATS players and creates something for them to work towards together.

Over the coming years, players will have the opportunity to train, develop, compete and earn their place on the 2028 touring team.

2028 Can't Come Soon Enough

The JATS USA Tour 2028 will be an experience our players will remember for the rest of their lives. New country. New opponents. New challenges. One incredible basketball adventure.
